Students will explore various art techniques and materials, encouraging experimentation and self-expression through drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture. We start each session with an introduction to the project and explore various artists that create in the same medium and subject. Students plan, sketch and share ideas as they begin to create their individual work of art inspired by a particular artist and style introduced. They use the entire session creating their work of art! Class meets once a week for 4 weeks for a total of 4 classes.
After School Art
In this class, students will enjoy learning the techniques of pinching, slabbing, and coiling clay to create both decorative and functional pieces. The program also includes an introduction to the pottery wheel, offering a well-rounded clay experience. All materials, including clay, glazes, and firing, are included in the class fee. Classes meet once a week for 4 weeks for a total of 4 classes.
