Art Studio classes and Camps:

FAQ

We know parents have questions before their first class or camp week — drop off, what to bring, allergies, missed classes, and what to expect during summer camp week — here are the answers for the ones we hear most often..

Yes.  We have a parking area located next to the studio.

You are welcome to drop off 10 minutes early.  For summer camps we do offer early drop off at 8:30am for an additional fee.  This option is offered when you register for camp.

We encourage all of our students to Dress for Mess!  We have aprons available, but it’s much easier for students to just wear clothes that can get messy. We can’t guarantee that even when students are wearing an apron that they won’t get paint on their clothes, shoes or in their hair.  Art is MESSY 🙂

We do not provide snacks.  Students should bring their own snacks and a water bottle.  If we have a student with a severe nut allergy during a camp week we notify all other parents/guardians and encourage them to pack nut-free snacks.

We are not a nut-free facility, but we strive to be allergy conscious and provide a safe environment for all our students. We make sure that any student with nut allergies is provided a safe space to snack away from a student that may have a snack that contains nuts or nut ingredients.  Parents/Guardians are responsible for providing information about any allergies or other medical conditions of the child on the Registration Form.

Art House Art Studio does not ensure that the risk of food-related allergic reactions are completely mitigated, nor does it assume liability for any food-related allergic reaction. We require that all children who are prescribed an epi-pen, inhaler, diabetic monitor have it with them while on the premises.  Parents/Guardians assume full responsibility for their child’s allergies and medical conditions.

Classes — If your child needs to miss a class, please contact us prior to class starting. We are happy to schedule a make-up class, preferably during the same week. Any class missed without notice is considered a no-show and cannot be made up. No credit or refund will be given.

Camps — If your child needs to miss a day during the camp week, please contact us prior to the start of camp. We are happy to schedule a make-up time to catch them up on what they missed — usually by having them come in a bit early or stay a little later.

If your child will not be able to attend a majority of the camp week, we suggest moving them to a different camp week instead. For a full refund, we must have notice 7 days prior to camp starting.

Every Friday at 11:45am for Art & Clay and Mixed Media camps.  Drop off as usual in the morning, then come back at 11:45am to walk through the front gallery and hallway to view all the amazing art created during camp that week.  Family and friends are welcome to come too.

Yes! When we are planning out each week we make sure not to have repeated projects throughout the summer.  There are times a specific theme or artist’s style is repeated, but the materials and overall outcome changes.  We also encourage our students to come up with their own ideas as they create and challenge them to add their own creative style to every project.
