A new type of art space designed to spark creativity in everyone.

Welcome to New Bern’s Creative Cafe.

A cafe-inspired art studio. You’re seated just like at a restaurant, with a menu of self-guided art experiences to choose from. You place your order, receive your supplies, and the rest is pure creative indulgence. All art experiences are beginner friendly. We have coffee and bubly water for you but we also encourage you to bring your favorite drinks and snacks.

Reserve a two-hour slot-starting in December, we will have longer hours and open for walk-ins!

Once you arrive, order your self-guided art experience off the menu. $10 and up

You don’t have to know what you’re making when you start. You just have to start.

The Menu

Every art experience on the menu comes with additional supplies available at the Inspiration Station and we are continuously expanding the menu. This is a sample of the basics. You can also reserve your $15 seat and bring your own supplies and projects for no additional charge.

WaterColor Medley $12

Watercolors, watercolor paper, paintbrushes, mixing tray, watercolor pencils, eraser

Oil Pastel Palette $10

Oil pastels, mixed media paper, blending tool, pencil, eraser

Collage Parfait $10

Scissors, glue, watercolor paper, pencil, eraser, images and magazines to cut and glue

mixed media buffet $12

FAQ

Not at all.  All of our menu items are beginner-friendly.  We encourage our guests to come in, relax and embrace the process of creating in a casual setting.

Yes, if there is space available.  But we recommend you secure a spot ahead of time.  Each 2 hour session has 12 spots available.

No. Think restaurant style, but your menu offers a variety of art experiences to choose from. We have complimentary coffee, tea and water. Guests are also welcome to BYOB.

Yes, we have glassware available.

A kids menu is coming soon however currently our menu items do not accommodate children.  The space is meant for teens and adults to come sit down, slow down and create. If you are interested in family-friendly days please sign up for our email list for updates about when we launch family and kid friendly dates.

Yes.  We have a parking area located next to the studio.

YES!  Guests can come on their own and connect with others!

We do offer refunds if you cancel within 24 hours of your reservation time.  After 24hours we cannot offer refunds.
